during his undergraduate work he trained in physics, and specialized in lightsheet microscopy for drosophila embryogenesis. yaakov began doctoral work in biophysics before being recruited as the optical engineer in a neuroimaging startup.
after teaching himself to code at fifteen, rafi went on to work across full stack software and data engineering. he later spent a year in ai r&d, where he worked on early primitives for structured memory in language models. he has since continued working across backend, data, and machine learning systems.
